Day 1: The Mehndi Party- Calgary Sikh Wedding Photographer

If you follow my blog, you might remember this gorgeous bride from her engagement party as well as her engagement session.

I first photographed Sabrine and Andy last year in September when they got engaged. I cannot believe today is the last day of this wedding that they have been planning for such a long time. Tonight, I will be photographing their reception. It has been an awesome experience…

The wedding started with Sabrine’s Mehndi (henna) party. I was amazed by it all. The henna artist is truly an artist. There are no templates involved in these designs, and is she ever fast at it too! I had my own henna done for the firs time ever and I really like it. This is as close as I’ll ever be to getting a tattoo, I love the fact that it isn’t permanent. You can always get another one with a brand new design! There were quite a few ladies at Sabrine’s party having a great time and getting their henna done. Sabrine’s outfit was beautiful and she even had some really cute custom made earrings to match it (she forgot to wear them at first, but when she remembered I made sure I got a photo of them as they were gorgeous).

More posts to come when I get a chance to edit more of the 10.000 photos I have taken (ok, I’m exaggerating a little bit, but I have taken a ton of images!)
